Management Team

As founder and chief investment strategist of EquiTrend.com, John developed the proprietary algorithm that the EquiTrend Stock Market Timing System uses to provide individual investors, broker/dealers, asset managers, and investment advisors with the market intelligence for peak performance.

Before founding EquiTrend.com, John was an investment consultant to trust banks. His clients sought better returns from their investments within prescribed risk parameters. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University and an MBA from the University of Tennessee.

He is also President of the National Association of Active Investment Managers (NAAIM), an association of 175 registered investment advisory firms that deploy “absolute return” investment strategies. Cumulatively, NAAIM members manage more than $15 billion.

In addition, John is President and CEO of ProfitScore® Capital Management, Inc. (www.profitscore.com), EquiTrend.com’s sister company. ProfitScore® is a Registered Investment Advisory firm that manages individual accounts and serves as a consultant to other money management firms. John is also General Partner of ProfitScore® Quantum Fund, a quantitative based long/short multi-strategy hedge fund.

Michael is responsible for EquiTrend.com’s daily operations, including daily valuations and trading. He also has been instrumental in the design and development of financial models and portfolio risk management tools for EquiTrend.com and other asset management companies.

Before joining EquiTrend.com, Michael was a business management and systems consultant for information systems development, reliability, and security. As a senior executive in highly technical leadership roles, he has managed mission-critical systems requiring absolute reliability and security for several corporations, including billion-dollar energy companies, as well as providing executive and marketing leadership for high-tech start-up companies. He also has headed IT development and integration in the money management, telecommunications, and manufacturing industries.

Matt serves as managing editor of EquiTrend.com’s Weekly Market Watch e-zine. With a growing subscription base numbering in the thousands, EquiTrend.com’s electronic newsletters reach individual and institutional investors around the world.

Matt is a seasoned technical trader, a frequent contributor to technical securities and alternative investment trading publications, and a sought-after subject matter expert on offshore investments and related topics. He is a member of the Market Technicians Association and the Canadian Society of Technical Analysts. Matt holds a B.S. degree from Canada’s Simon Fraser University.

John brings more than 25 years of business experience to EquiTrend’s Marketing and Sales Division. He has been a Marketing Consultant, owned a direct marketing company and was District Sales Manager for Airborne Express where he managed the Corporation’s 4th largest major market, the San Francisco Bay Area. Specializing in National Account Sales and Management, his clients included Bank of America, Chevron USA, Intel, Apple, Transamerica and Hewlett Packard.

Additionally, he has more than 28 years’ experience as a pilot for a major U.S. airline, flying as a Captain on the Boeing 737, Airbus A320 and Boeing 777. He began his career as a United States Air Force Officer and Pilot.
